FishEUTrust at annual JSI Open Science Day

Every year, the Jozef Stefan Institute (JSI) organizes an Open Day to give the public an insight into the work of the JSI.

In connection with the FishEUTrust project, JSI presented the activities and objectives of the FishEUTrust project, such as the importance of traceability in the seafood industry and importance of including fish in our diet for optimal health. We also presented the sea bream and its nutritional value according to our analysis. Additionally, participants had an opportunity to taste a focaccia with 25% of fish flour and bread with 12% of fish flour to demonstrate potential of using fish ingredients in everyday foods

The feedback from participants was very positive. Around 200 participants showed great interest in the objectives of the FishEUTrust project. The event served as a platform to raise awareness of sustainable fishing practices and promote healthy eating habits.
