FishEUTrust and Sea2See Workshop in Malta

Overview

FishEUTrust organised a hybrid meeting (in person and on line) with the EU Sea2See project to discuss stakeholder mapping, engagement, and Living Labs. Arranged and facilitated by the AquaBioTech Group at their premises in Malta, a 2-day workshop was held to discuss mutually beneficial project activities and sharing of information.

While both projects have different overall objectives and approaches, they share a common aim in improving trust and uptake of EU fish sources. A part of this relates to defining and maximising engagement with stakeholders within the seafood supply chain as well as consumers. By sharing data such as stakeholder maps, the primary purpose of the workshop was to create an action plan to define common strategies to ensure maximum engagement with target audiences and prevent duplicated effort.

There was also discussion between the 5 Co-creation Living Labs (CLLs) of FishEUTrust to determine synergies between their operations and how to best integrate with the technologies being developed within the project (e.g. sensors, gamification, and digital tools) to maximise impact.

Finally, the partcipants of the workshop were shown around the AquaBioTech facilities.
